Pugs Not Drugs
My mother-in-law is an avid pug lover and so, of course, around the holidays I am in search of all things pug! :) Found this adorable "Pugs Not Drugs" tote from The All Mighty shop! Though this year we went in a less doggy direction with our gift but will have to keep this in mind for next year!

Yarn & Ornament Wreath
Lovely! Too bad I don't currently have the time or energy right now. A baby really does change everything.

Mitten Tree
We put up the Christmas tree and have holiday music playing and, of course, I'm doing a little online Christmas shopping! Came across this adorable mitten tree that I can see coming in handy in the years to come as our family grows and our wet mittens multiply.

Chalk Board Love
I wish my pantry looked more like this...though not sure where they are hiding their cereal boxes, stove top or cans of soup - maybe on the other side of that nook you can't really see into. Hmm? :)
Love the idea of decorating with chalk board paint right on the door. Would help us a lot with our grocery list making! My husband and I will always end up with two or three lists - one he has been working on and one I start working on. Most of the items are usually the same - though his do seem to lack wall plugs and laundry detergent and mine are a little less focused on pork chops and ground beef. :)
Loving this garage too! Maybe a more manly color would entice my hubby than this mossy green though - but love how it is all organized and gives a little work space to sit down at. One day, one day....our garage has been on the back-end of the project list here lately.

Using Your Leftovers: Tissue Paper Roses
With just having had our baby shower a few weeks ago, we are up to our eyeballs in tissue paper. My husband will just toss the stuff out - but I managed to hoard most of it up and away for future use. I love this idea from Paper Crave - tissue paper roses! Gorgeous!

Craft Inspiration: Pottery Barn Frame Jewerly Holders
I'm inspired! My current jewerly holder doesn't hold earrings well. I am thinking a little white frame strung with wire will work just perfectly! :)

Inspiration: Backyard Scrabble Board
My poor husband never gets a break in the summer. My creative juices are flowing - our backyard is really coming together and just when he thinks he's done building things - WHAM! Something like this happens.
First it was a flower bed, then a garden box, then another garden box and another! Then a compost pile, a deck, and lastly a hammock...and then it all slows down a little...
And I read a blog, see a website, read a magazine and again - am inspired! Running at my hubby with plans and babbling about where I envision it'll go. :)
How can I not be inspired with this insanely lovely outdoor Scrabble board idea? And it's so simple (in my head at least)!! A bag of concrete, a shallowish frame, some scoring, some staining - I'll tackle the tiles - he's just gotta do the dirty work. :)
So, if you're looking for me this weekend, I'll be at Lowe's...pricing baseboard trim and concrete stain.
Just in case we lose this article or the link changes - I want to write it down here - so we can remember how to make it!
From Sunset Magazine:
- 5-foot square Scrabble board
- wood frame, then poured concrete and scored it into 3¾-inch squares separated by ¼-inch joints.
- After the concrete had cured for one month, she colored the squares using water-base concrete stains.
- 100 3¼-inch square letter tiles from baseboard trim.
- Precut, adhesive-backed vinyl letters and numbers at a sign shop, stuck them on the tiles, and sealed each one with spray lacquer.
- The lightweight letters, which are stored in a canvas bag, fit on metal trays

Family Reunion Tees
Summer is full of family reunions in lazy parks complete with hot summer sun, buzzing cicadas, cool shade, lots of hugs and catching up, and plenty of good food!
These family reunion t-shirts have me wanting to make something for our reunions coming up! Will have to check with my dad to see what kind of budget they have. :)

Fabulous Find: Tablevogue
I think I've fallen in love! Who doesn't have a shabby, banged up card table or two they pull out for parties? I know I do! Being the perfectionist, design-minded person I am - I always try covering the darn thing with table cloths - none fit quite right though - always short on the sides so the legs show and too long on the other so people are tripping over it. :(
Tablevogue has come up with the perfect solution! Made to fit card tables and other standard table sizes - these box-pleated, floor length table cloths add a ton of swank to any ho-hum table! Taking your decor from blah and boring to fabulous and fun! Love it! Definitely a must-have for anyone planning a party or get-together!
Lots of style for little price! And so many uses - think about it - holidays, dinner parties, birthdays, game nights, baby showers, open houses, house warming, or even everyday decor!

Color Weakness
My weakness this year - as far as color goes - has to be green! I've never been a huge fan - but someone about those sagey hues just has me staring wistfully at these pics! So cottagy, serene and cute!

Quilty Weakness
I know quilts are folksy and old fashioned but something about a cozy quilt in fabulous fabric patterns just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I love this the idea of a quilt is transposed to the closet door here - - not sure if it uses fabric decoupaged on or maybe scrapbook paper. Either way...le sigh.
