Mobiles for Grown Ups at Spin Designs

LOVING these mobiles for grownups, from Etsy seller Spin Designs. What I wouldn't do to have this one hanging in my office. I have the perfect corner for it in the little alcove in front of my desk.

Special thanks to the wonderful blogger from More Ways to Waste Time for sharing this great Esty find with her readers!

Etsy Fabrics

One of my favorite websites, Domino, featured these lovely Etsy fabrics that are inspiration alone to come up with some sort of project to use them for! I am thinking pillow cases, wall art, lining the back of our bookcase...something!

Reclaimed Wood Bundle

As things become old and lose their usefulness, you can throw them away - or you can give them a new life. Rather than contribute to landfills, Shiraleah uses old wooden railway ties from India to make this unique Reclaimed Wood Bundle Stool. The perfect eco-friendly accessory for any decor, this stool lets you beautify your home while embracing a green lifestyle that will help save the environment and keeps additional trees from being cut down.

Macbeth Lunch Box

What a lovely lunch box from The Macbeth Collection! I prefer soft lunch totes because they can expand to hold my lunch loads or be folded flat at the end of the day so I have one less thing to carry on the bus. But, I do like the idea of this little box...so chic!

Pantone Mugs from Pedlars

Here at the office we have a cupboard full of at least 50 different mugs - each with a motif more hideous than the first. I have my favorites - one I brought in myself - but if I had THESE Pantone Mugs from Pedlars - oh, I would just be peachy! They would look so much better sitting on my desk steaming with my daily intake of tea than the corporate mugs I am forced to stare at now. And at $5 - I could buy a few!

Va Va Voom Vinyl Wall Decalls

Not sure what is is about wall decals, but I am in love with them...though it could be the idea of using typography as an interior decorating tool. The downside? Sigh..the walls in our home are textured - so I don't think I could use them anywhere. Too bad because I found some marvelous ideas at Vinyl Attraction.

Snow & Graham Wrapping Paper

With fall slowly creeping upon us, my mind begins to turn towards the holidays. Gift buying, wrapping - etc. Happened upon Snow & Graham's website and found a gorgeous array of modernly designed paper novelties ranging from calendars, coaster, wrapping baby and, of course, stationary and letterpressed cards - perfect for gift giving AND wrapping!

I could even see using this is a craft project my husband I have up our sleeves - time will tell!

Dress Up Your Drawers

I love lavender and I love keeping my fabrics smelling fresh. I usually just tuck my favorite scented dryer sheet in between my towels or sheets - but these lavender sachets make my dryer sheet idea look quite pitiful. This sachet set was made with two Amy Butler print fabrics - no wonder I feel in love with them at first sight!

Visit Amy's Etsy page BeanPickleSprout to purchase these lovely and see all her other great handmade goods.

Mod Teardrop Lamp from Vitamin D(esign)

Too bad this Mod Teardrop Lamp is $340 or it would be residing on my desk right now! Vitamin D(esign) has all sorts of drool-worthy home decor items. If only money weren't an issue! Anyone know of any good look-alikes?!

Daily Candy

My newest obsession in terms of websites, Daily Candy, a free daily e-mail newsletter and website, is the insider’s guide to what’s hot, new, and undiscovered — from fashion and style to gadgets and travel. As useful as it is entertaining, it’s like getting an e-mail from your clever, unpredictable, and totally in-the-know best friend. The one who knows about secret beauty treatments, must-have jeans, hot new restaurants — and always shares the scoop.

Too bad there isn't an Indianapolis version yet!

Sustainable Bamboo For Your Home

We put a vinyl fence up last year - but if I would have know about bamboo as a fencing option - I would have definitely looked into it. Looks gorgeous and is sustainable! I would love to use the bamboo poles to build a pergola like they did on their website - lovely!

Creative Hoosier: Paula Prass

(Images from Design Healing & Paula Prass)

Who knew that Indianapolis had such a great interior and fabric designer right in our very midst? I sure didn't! Thanks to Design Healing for pointing me in her direction! I had no clue of her Hoosier origins until I visited her blog and noticed her profile said she was from Carmel, Indiana.

Paula Prass, interior designer, artist, and manufacturer of her own line of home decor has just signed with Michael Miller Fabrics for her Flights of Fancy fabric collection.

Be sure to check out her website and her blog - Show & Tell!

Design You Can Wear

Absolutely gorgeous jewelry designs from Blue Wild Indigo.

Day of the Week Clips from See Jane Work

Contemporary and cool but with a simple, playful appeal, paper goods and desk accessories from the Susy Jack Collection will brighten your desk, counter, or craft table.

Like those cute Days of the Week undies you had when you were a kid, but infinitely more practical, this set of handmade clips is great for getting your paperwork in order, assigning chores to kids, or keeping track of daily tasks.

From one of my favorite office supply stores - See Jane Work.

Things to Note Notebook From Nantaka Joy

I can never get enough notebooks. I have two little ones in my purse - one lined and one not. And one in my tote - and various ones throughout my house and office. I LOVE writing littles note to myself about books I want to read, info about things I want to look into doing like yoga or pilates classes, inspirations for my garden or something I am working on at the office - even measurements for my windows for the next time I am out shopping and find curtains on sale! I am a note taker! And what makes note taking even more fun is having a cute notebook to write in? Found these marvelous little notebooks at Nantake Joy.

Special thanks to Poppytalk for getting me in that direction this morning!

Nifty Notice Board

Pretty sure I figure out a way to make these great Unstashed Notice Boards somehow on my own for $118 - just need to scrounge up some round plexiglass pieces and cool colored rubber bands. But very cool nonetheless - now I need to make a call to Fast Signs - I am pretty sure they deal with plexiglass. :)

Thanks to Mighty Haus for the fab find!

Amy Butler Business Card Keeper

Who doesn't love Amy Butler's line of to-die-for fabrics? I am not personally not up to speed on the whole sewing scene as of yet, but I could probably get this little project finished - look how gorgeous this business card keeper pattern is - and it is available as a free download off of Amy Butler's website. My business cards are always getting wet or rumply from being in my purse and this little keeper would give them the perfect amount of protection they need AND it looks cute to boot!

DIY: Bookbinding

Something every designer should know how to do - for mock ups, small run projects or your portfolio and personal promo pieces - how to bind a book. Violinagin D. on Cut Out + Keep made this paperback book following the tutorial on the DIY Bookbinding website. Takes 5 minutes not including drying time.

Thanks to Craftzine for sharing the link!
