Using Your Leftovers: Tissue Paper Roses

With just having had our baby shower a few weeks ago, we are up to our eyeballs in tissue paper. My husband will just toss the stuff out - but I managed to hoard most of it up and away for future use. I love this idea from Paper Crave - tissue paper roses! Gorgeous!

Simple Pen Gift Idea!

An amazingly simple (and great!) gift idea from One Pearl Button for those stockings that need stuffed! I would get the black pens though - just so the caps and end pieces don't clash with the designs.

Thanks Craftzine - finding inspirational stuff as always!

Handmade Stamps from Craftpudding

I usually save anything kid related for my Birds & The Bees Blog - but this teetered on the edge of design, kids and a general great gift idea for anyone! Customized stamps from the marvelous Etsy artis - Craftpudding for the kiddos for only $20!

Many thanks to Janie at Ohdeedoh for sharing this great find!

DIY Hot Pad Tutorial from My Byrd House

With my newest obsession being fabric it only makes sense that I start obsessing about learning how to sew, right?? Just what my husband wants to hear - new obsession = new things to buy. Hey, it SAVES money in the long run right? I mean I WOULD be making things I would normally have to buy at full retail price...things like hot pads, curtains, gifts - oh the possibilities!

Anyways, this great little DIY hot pad tutorial is from Lucy at My Byrd House and looks like something I might be able to tackle (with a sewing machine of course!).

Thanks to the wonderful Craftzine for getting me there!
